C for Christopher Nolan

Ever been in a state where you go into a loop of never ending cerebrations?? You think of something, you want all and every whys’, hows’ of yours answered and then you go into a sea of interconnected thoughts, processing and connecting the dots and (bam) you either get a revelation, a proverb, a crazy redundant meaningless irk coming into you, or worse, you just fall flat on your face, not to worry ofcourse on the pillow, and shut your ears as if that would stop you from thinking! Well I I am one of those too. And one of those who can’t just stop watching Nolan movies, for they love the never ending loops.

And here are my top five favourite picks from one of my favourite director/writer and an amazing thinker.

• Doodle bug– A short film that can impact as awesome as a three hour movie. A descriptive eerie of the horror-imagination of yours.

• Memento– The original Gajini, but can spin your head. Perseverance of a revenge!

• The Prestige – While many like the plot and all, my favourite part is when Tesla and Edison story is spun in the movie.

• Inception – Time travel, dreams, reality-compounded.

• Interstellar – My friends might be surprised to see this movie in my list, for I do not think this is Nolan’s best take. Interstellar might go down the list maybe after I watch Insomnia, the only movie of his I haven’t watch, surprisingly inspite of it being a Robin Williams starrer..Ummph..strange me. Anyway the best for its scene of the fourth dimension concept! Absolutely brilliant!

Some of you might be surprised to see the Batman-Dark Knight Series missing, well, Dark Knight is my favourite but would hesitate to have it on top5, until maybe I am into my Evil mood * joker grin *.

My Bucket List

• Experience culture of all countries (Do the Haka dance, drink sake, wear clothing of various cultures, and do all with the natives).Too many to add individually.
• Travel..Atleast one Nadodi style with a loved one.
• French kiss on top of Eiffel tower.
• Camp on hill top under stars.
• Meet Bill Watterson.
• Kiss Disney style(pop one leg up…uhm… make sure there is no bubble gum on the floor) with the love of my life.
• Swim in Niagara
• Go horse riding
• Water raft
• Bungee jump
• Skydive
• Paragliding
• Walk on the ocean sea floor
• Jump off a cliff
  Typically..experience all adventure sports.
  
• Kiss, hug, swim with dolphin.
• Kiss a baby monkey.
  I am guessing the above two points are going to be my invitation to a never ending burlesque.  
• Do atleast one crossword puzzle, without any help (I suck at it, big time).
• Finish the IMDB top 250 movies.
• Stop quarreling with  _______.
• Finish the must read 100 books.
• Be called ‘The best Mother’, truly.

Movie Review: Angry Indian Goddesses

Angry Indian Goddesses opens with a bunch of women facing their own problems: A businesswoman (CEO, I presume) with a daughter who feels lonesome yet highly talented in photography, a singer with a career going downhill and has tried to commit suicide twice, a photographer who refuses to Photoshop the model’s skin to look fairer, an activist fighting for the farmers’ lands, a good Indian housewife-bahu who was a gold medalist, an Anglo Indian who is an aspiring actress and a servant lady who is fighting her brother’s murder case.

What do I say? A good script wasted by amateur screenplay, poor dubbing, bad lip sync and average music; but saved by good acting, strong points of the very script.
